Wellington, New Zealand's capital, is set on the shores of a deep harbour and surrounded by wooded hills. An exciting, vibrant, city, Wellington boasts many fine Museums, libraries and art galleries including Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum. Catch a bus to the zoo or take the cable car to one of the best views of the city.
There are numerous bays and beaches for swimming, water-skiing, surfing, fishing, sailing and windsurfing around the coastline.
The cafe scene is popular and thriving, offering a wide selection dining with around 400 cafes and restaurants. Wellington has great nightlife. with at least 30 bars and clubs open until 3am.
